Sean Provost

Sean played high school hockey for Coach Jim Carlin (Classical Bulldogs) and was a member the ’84 Western Mass Championship team.  After high school Sean played 2 years for Coach Dineen’s highly successful Pics hockey club.  Following Juniors, Sean attended SUNY Potsdam and played 4 years in the competitive SUNYAC Conference.  As a Freshman, Sean was voted SUNYAC rookie of the year.

Sean began his coaching career with Holy Name before going to the Connecticut Clippers where he worked with many great coaches - including Bob Crawford, Dave Roberts and Pete Whitney.   After 4 years with the Clippers, Sean went to work for his old coach, Gary Dineen as an assistant with the Junior and Midget teams. Sean then took over the Westfield State Club Hockey program, turning them into a National contender, qualifying for Nationals and beating multiple NCAA Division 3 teams.  After 2 successful seasons, Sean returned to Coach Dineens’ New England Falcons and started the ’96 Falcons team. Many of Sean's players (local 413 or 860) have gone on to play Prep, College and professional hockey including Peter Crinella, John Leonard, Cam Peritz, Jake Ryczek, Charlie and Tyler Kelleher, Rob Bellamy, Willy Smith, Ryan Cloonan and many many more.  The past 2 years, Sean was the Hockey Director for the Western Mass Bulldogs, leading the team on ice and in games.  Sean developed the program through his 30 plus years of playing hockey and coaching.  The same structure will be applied to the STS Bulldogs program.

Sean was a founding member of the GD Alumni Group and former owner of the Junior Falcons hockey club, now the Junior Huskies program.  As the Director of Hockey Operations with the Falcons, the organization quickly grew to 19 teams and became a power in the New England Region, boasting some of the best players and teams in the area.

Sean is now the managing partner at Stick Time Sports, Inc. and Director of Hockey. He is also the Head Coach for the West Springfield Terriers.
